Dr. Samer A. Itani, DDS

Dr. Itani has over a decade of experience treating special care patients who require unique and compassionate care. This includes geriatric, special needs, medically compromised, phobic and homebound patients with mobility limitations. Age related infirmities and conditions such as Autism, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome or extreme fear of dental treatment are all within Dr. Itani’s scope of practice.

Dr. Christina Woo, DDS

Dr. Christina Woo has a doctorate in dental surgery from UCLA and works as an associate dentist. She completed residency at Highland Hospital in general practice which developed her skills treating the elderly and special needs populations. Dr. Woo holds staff privileges at Sutter Health California Pacific Medical Center and at the Dental Division of Kaiser Permanente San Francisco.

Dr. Jae You Kim, DMD

Dr. Jae You Kim earned his D.M.D. from Western University of Health Sciences and has experience in preventive, restorative, endodontic, and prosthodontic care through diverse clinical training. He also holds an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. from The Ohio State University, with research experience in drug delivery and nanoparticle technology. Fluent in Korean and English, Dr. Kim is committed to patient-centered care and continuous learning.

Dr. Cayman La Rocca is an associate dentist who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the NYU College of Dentistry. He completed his general practice residency at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs and Stanford Hospitals, where he received advanced training in surgical and hospital dentistry.   I found Itani Dental while looking for a dental office that offers nitrous oxide for cleanings. I have a dental phobia and have spent years trying to find a clinic where I would feel comfortable getting treatment. What initially caught my attention was their 5 star rating and that they provide care in different clinical settings, including home visits. I took that as a sign that they’re patient and accommodating. From the beginning, everyone was wonderful to work with. They were professional, easy to communicate with, and the scheduling and procedure process was seamless. I initially started to try the cleaning without nitrous, but changed my mind in the middle of the procedure. The staff was incredibly patient and kind, and paused until I was comfortable with the nitrous. It honestly made such a huge difference and turned what was once a dreadful experience into one I actually feel comfortable doing again! A special thank you to Ian, the dental assistant, who immediately made me feel at ease with her calm and welcoming demeanor. Dr. Woo was also very patient and took the time to explain everything to me. Thank you to this wonderful team for making such a big difference in my dental experience.   Itani dental is healing. They know some pain and discomfort is inevitable and take great efforts to understand and address your fears. Ian was a great assistant and who praised me regularly (“Your doing a good job” she would remind me) as did Dr LaRocca. He did an excellent job on exactly the status of my advanced gum disease and put me in the drivers seat of the prognosis. He also had excellent technical skills and communicated well when to anticipate pain.   Recently had a home dentistry tooth cavity fill procedure performed by Dr. Itani's team. They were courteous, professional, timely, and accomodating. The procedure itself went smoothly and was a lot quicker than I'd anticipated. Post op I'm not feeling any pai  or discomfort in the area of my wisdom tooth.
